Who is TOTO?
No, it is not Dorothy's dog from the Wizard of Oz - well at least not in this instance. Founded in Japan, tin 1917, they are an innovative, sustainable company that focuses on bathroom/plumbing fixtures. Kazuchika Okura had the idea for the company five years prior - before sewage systems were even commonplace in Japan. Talk about a founder who was ahead of his time! With their vision, in 1980 they invented and patented the first Washlet - a toilet seat with a water spraying feature for washing. It was a unique and practical combination of a bidet and a toilet in one unit. Leave it to the Japanese. The artistic culture of pottery and porcelain that is a part of the Japan's heritage is reflected in its products today. If you choose a quality plumbing product, for your own living space, Toto will definitely make you think "there is no place like home".
Why I chose TOTO?
Innovation in a small package: The only washlet and toilet combination that could squeeze comfortably into my cozy NYC bathroom
Soft close seat: No more banging toilet seats to disturb my apartment's serenity. This hinge system ensures a gentle, controlled close - both zen-like and practical.
Remote-controlled: If a remote is good enough for my television, I assume it's good enough for my throne. I welcome the future with open arms.
Power Gravity flushing system: Not only does this have perks for me but also the environment. It's water conservation technology uses only a fraction of the water that a traditional toilet would. Mother nature...you are welcome!
