Designer, Andrea Young has over two decades of experience. She discovered her hidden passion for design while working on The Trans-Alaskan Pipeline during a sabbatical from University of Washington. After graduating with honors from Parsons School of Design, she joined McMillen Inc.'s design team. While at the firm, Andrea was involved in a number of creative and detail-driven projects: Banca Commerciale Italiana (New York, NY); River Oaks Country Club (Houston, TX); Tyco International (New York, NY).

A myriad of her current design projects- both large and small - can be found throughout the United States.  These include combining separate apartments into a single, beautifully seamless residence and completing a down-to-the-studs kitchen renovation.  Andrea has also executed complex historical renovation projects including restoring an 1850s Hudson River Mansion while faithfully adhering to the grandeur of this magnificent residence. Andrea's commercial experience includes design projects in New York and San Francisco for Ampex and Sherborne.

Andrea Young Interiors develops the architecture as the backbone in  creating a space. Often in new construction there is a lack of architectural detail inherent to older pre-war buildings.  The firm specializes in these classical details that add to the scale and create a timeless aesthetic.

Attracting top rated, highly skilled artisans across many fields, the firm values its ability to tap the depth of New York City’s world class design sources.

Andrea's success stems from building strong relationships and understanding each client’s specific needs, budget and timeline.
